Panchamukha Ganapati
The five faces of this Ganesha each relate to one of the pancha bhutas, the five elements: earth for stability and patience, water for flow and balance, fire for transformation and clarity, air for movement and vitality, and ether for space and consciousness. Traditionally the form is kept in the home or puja room for protection, prosperity and the steady clearing of obstacles.
Srirangam Gopuram
Months of patience and thousands of painted details went into this large mixed-media canvas, Anu's tribute to the grandeur of the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple at Srirangam. Every sculpture, colour and tiny figure on the towers was painted with deep respect for the temple's extraordinary craftsmanship.
The Periyapuranam series
A sketchbook series illustrating the verses of the Periyapuranam, Sekkizhar's telling of the lives of the 63 Nayanmars. Each drawing sits beside its Tamil verse. Song 9 captures the moment Lord Shiva blesses Sekkizhar to compose the work, the manuscript showered with flowers as a text born of divine grace.
Dwarakar
For Anu, Mysore painting is slow and meditative: the precision of every line, the layering of colour and the careful detailing. Each stage lets her connect not just with the art form but with its cultural heritage. It is a medium, she says, that teaches patience, discipline and quiet joy.
